Work Hours and Pay Calculators

These calculators cover the everyday time math behind a paycheck: hours between two clock times, a full time card with lunch breaks and overtime, adding up durations, and counting business days to a deadline.

Pick the right calculator

Which one should I use?

  • Use the Hours Calculator for a single shift, including overnight shifts.
  • Use the Time Card Calculator for a full week or a two-week pay period. It splits regular and overtime hours for each week.
  • Use the Time Calculator to add or subtract durations such as 2:45 plus 1:30.
  • Use the Business Days Calculator to count working days between two dates or to find a due date, skipping weekends and US federal holidays.
  • Use the Percentage Calculator for a raise or a percent change in pay.

Decimal hours

Payroll systems usually want decimal hours. Divide the minutes by 60 and add them to the hours, so 7 hours 45 minutes is 7.75 hours. The Hours and Time Card calculators show both formats.
