Print Size Calculator

Print Size Calculator

Find print dimensions from pixel size and DPI.

Results update as you type.

How to use

Enter pixel width and height and the print DPI. The result is print width and height in inches.

Formula

inches = pixels ÷ DPI

Worked example

  1. 3000×2000 px at 300 DPI → 10 in × 6.67 in.

Assumptions

  • DPI here means pixels per inch on the print.
  • Interpolation when upsizing is not modeled; start from enough pixels when you can.

FAQs

Is 300 DPI required?
300 DPI is a common photo-print target. Large posters viewed from farther away can use a lower DPI.
How do I keep the aspect ratio?
Use the Aspect Ratio tool to choose a crop, then return here for inches at your DPI.
Does this change file size?
No. Print size is about pixels and DPI. File size is covered in Image Storage.
What if I only know centimetres?
Convert inches with the Unit Converter (1 in = 2.54 cm), or divide centimetres by 2.54 before comparing.
